# ForecastBooked > ForecastBooked watches the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast for the ZIP codes an HVAC or plumbing shop serves. When a freeze, heat or storm trigger fires, it builds a ready-to-review marketing kit for the shop's own opted-in customers. Made by Volado Labs. Status: live at forecastbooked.com (launched Oct 20, 2026). ## How it works - A shop adds its service ZIPs, trade (HVAC or plumbing), phone and booking link. - A scheduled job checks the NWS forecast and active alerts for each ZIP every 3 hours. - Triggers (default thresholds; Pro and Multi-location plans can change them): - First freeze: the first forecast night of the season with a low of 32°F or colder, or an active NWS Freeze Warning or Hard Freeze Warning (fires once per ZIP per season). - Hard freeze: a forecast low of 28°F or colder. - Extreme heat: an NWS heat alert, or a forecast heat index of 105°F or higher. - Storms: NWS severe thunderstorm, tornado and winter storm watches and warnings, plus blizzard and ice storm warnings. - Each kit has a customer email, an SMS script, a Google Business Profile post and a social caption. Pro and Multi-location kits add a 1080x1080 graphic. - Kits are for customers who opted in. Emails include an unsubscribe link and an address placeholder; SMS scripts end with "Reply STOP to opt out". - Delivery: forecasts are checked every 3 hours. When a trigger fires, the kit appears on the shop's private kit page (linked from setup and checkout), ready to copy, with the graphic as a PNG download. Emailing shops when a kit is ready is not switched on yet. ## Data - Forecasts and alerts: NOAA/National Weather Service (api.weather.gov), used as published. - First-freeze city pages: NOAA NCEI U.S. Climate Normals 1991-2020. - ForecastBooked is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA or the NWS. ## Pricing - Starter: $19/month, 1 service ZIP, text kits. - Pro: $39/month, up to 5 ZIPs, graphics, custom trigger points. - Multi-location: $79/month, up to 20 ZIPs. - 14-day free trial; card required at checkout. - Cancel any time in the Stripe billing portal (or by email). Canceling during the trial costs nothing; after a charge, the plan runs to the end of the paid month. - Refunds: email hello@forecastbooked.com within 7 days of a charge for a full refund. - The site's main button starts the 14-day free trial. ## What it does not do - It does not send messages for the shop, run ads, or buy or rent contact lists. Shops send kits to their own opted-in customers. - Kits help shops plan ahead. They are not emergency alerts. ## Pages - [Home](https://forecastbooked.com/): how it works, triggers, plans, waitlist - [Pricing](https://forecastbooked.com/pricing) - [First freeze dates by city](https://forecastbooked.com/first-freeze): NOAA 1991-2020 normals for 46 cities, each with its own page - [How triggers work](https://forecastbooked.com/how-triggers-work): the exact trigger rules and check frequency, generated from the engine settings - [FAQ](https://forecastbooked.com/faq): triggers, data source, plans, trial, cancel and refunds - [ForecastBooked vs WeatherAds and WeatherCue](https://forecastbooked.com/vs/weatherads-weathercue): how the three differ, with WeatherAds and WeatherCue facts from their own pages (checked Oct 19, 2026) - [Freeze Watch vs Freeze Warning vs Frost Advisory](https://forecastbooked.com/guides/freeze-watch-vs-warning): what each NWS cold alert means, why Hard Freeze Warnings were folded into Freeze Warnings (Oct 1, 2024), and why frost/freeze alerts stop after the local growing season (weather.gov, read Oct 20, 2026) - [Terms](https://forecastbooked.com/terms): billing, trial, canceling, 7-day refund - [Privacy](https://forecastbooked.com/privacy) ## Contact - hello@forecastbooked.com
