Who we are

If you join the waitlist

The form asks for your email and one service ZIP code. We keep them with the date you signed up and whether you confirmed. We email you once to ask you to confirm. If you confirm, we send launch news and a few weather-timed marketing tips for your ZIP. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

If you start a plan

  • At checkout: your email, phone, business name, main service ZIP and trade (HVAC or plumbing). Your card goes to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
  • On the setup page: your booking page link, your mailing address, your city and state, and the ZIP codes you serve.
  • Your plan, trial dates and subscription status from Stripe, and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
  • The kits we make for you, and the email address we will send them to.

We use this to watch the forecast for your ZIP codes, fill in your kits (your shop name, phone, booking link and the mailing address your emails must show), and run your billing.

Your customers' information

We never ask for, receive or store your customer lists. Kits are sent by you, from your own email, text and social tools, to people who agreed to hear from you. Your list stays with you.

Who helps us run it

  • Stripe takes payments, holds your card details and runs the billing portal.
  • Supabase hosts our database: your shop details, plan status and kits, and the email list (email, ZIP, signup date and status).
  • Resend sends our emails to you. After you confirm, it also gets your email address so it can send list emails.
  • Vercel hosts the site and keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested. Our sign-up limits also look at your IP address for a few minutes to stop abuse. We do not save it.
  • The National Weather Service gets the map point for each ZIP code we watch, so we can get its forecast. We send no names or contact details.

Page counts

We count page views and a few funnel steps (for example, starting checkout or joining the waitlist) so we can see how the site is used. Each count is one line in our host's server logs with the event name, the time and, for page views, a known page path. No cookies, and no email, IP address, ZIP code or user agent in the count.

Vercel Web Analytics

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, from our host, to see how many people visit. It is cookieless and only gives us aggregated page-view data: the pages visited, the referring site, the country, and the device and browser type. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other sites, and we never sell this data.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data or share it for ads.
  • We don't use ad trackers, cross-site tracking or cookies. Our only analytics are the page counts and Vercel Web Analytics (above), and neither uses cookies.

Deleting your data

Email hello@forecastbooked.com and we will delete your waitlist entry, or your shop details and kits. Canceling a plan does not delete your data by itself, so ask us if you want it gone. Stripe keeps its own payment records.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
